BAPETEN again attended the Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia on Tuesday, 5 September 2023 in Jakarta to report on the progress of the implementation 2023 FY activities and 2024 FY activity plans.
RDP with Commission VII in addition to listening reports from BAPETEN, also to request progress reports on the implementation of 2023 FY activities and 2024 FY activity plans, from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) and the Geospatial Information Agency.
Also present were Plt. Chairman of BAPETEN Sugeng Sumbarjo, Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection Zainal Arifin, Plh. Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment Dahlia C. Sinaga, Director of Regulation of Nuclear Installation and Materials Haendra Subekti, Head of Bureau of Planning, Information and Finance Achmad Busamah, and several related BAPETEN officials and staffs.
Meanwhile, from Commission VII of the House of Representatives, there were 18 members from 8 factions and from 11 factions in the DPR, "So that the RDP Commission VII together with partners tonight have fulfilled the quorum in accordance with applicable regulations," said Sugeng Suparwoto, Chairman of Commission VII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia when opening the RDP last night.
"This RDP is in the context of implementing the DPR budget function (budgeting) with an agenda of progress in the implementation of 2023 FY activities and 2024 FY activity plans, for Commission VII partners BRIN, BAPETEN and BIG," continued Sugeng, who was accompanied by Deputy Chairman of Commission VII, Maman Abdurrahman at the meeting leadership table.
Each partner of Commission VII first conveyed the progress of the implementation of 2023 FY activities , to be explored by members of Commission VII, then proceed to the 2024 Activity Plan.
Plt. Chairman of BAPETEN Sugeng Sumbarjo in his presentation said that the realization of BAPETEN's budget until yesterday, 4 September 2023 reached 64.03% of the total ceiling of Rp. 120,159,162,000,-.
"Apart from that, it is used for Certification of reliability of nuclear energy equipment and Conformity Test Personnel, and appointment of labs / test institutes and nuclear energy training institutions, with a budget realization of 51.60%," he explained.
Sugeng added, for Inspection activities it has been used for Safety and Security Inspections including Health, Industrial & Research Facilities, Nuclear Installations, Nuclear Materials & Physical Protection. Second, Environmental Safety Evaluation and Radioactive Waste, Third Monitoring of Radiation Worker Doses, Environmental Radioactivity, Radioactive Waste, and Radioactive Associated Minerals. "With a budget realization of 54.61%," he added.
"Then it is also used for the Development of Participatory Supervision Information Systems for Nuclear Energy Preparation of Technical Modules for Radioactive Waste Accounting Systems; and self-assessment of health, industry and research facilities with realization reaching 53.77%." he said.
"The realization has been used for licensing the utilization of nuclear energy in the fields of Health, Research and Industry, Energy Reactors and Nuclear Materials, Non-Reactor Nuclear Installations and Non-Energy Reactors, Radiation Facility Officers, Nuclear Material Installation Workers," he said.
"Furthermore, for the Improvement of the National Nuclear Security and Preparedness System Development of National Nuclear Preparedness infrastructure with the installation and operationalization of RDMS, with realization reaching 61.29%”.
After BRIN, BAPETEN and BIG delivered presentations, members of Commission VII delivered deepening of the presentations from each partner. As usual, there is certainly a sharp and scathing deepening of things that in the view of Commission members are still unclear and trivial, but if the DPR partners can explain logically and realistically with accurate data, Commission VII can certainly accept it. Indeed, it is part of the duty and function of the DPR to supervise its partners in Ministries/Institutions.
The RDP which started at 21.00 WIB ended before midnight at 23.45 WIB and was closed by Sugeng Suparwoto.
Related to the presentation of the Plt. Chairman of BAPETEN about the progress of the implementation of 2023 FY activities and 2024 FY activity plans. In 2024, Sugeng Suparwoto stated that he could accept and advised "Continue to do our best in terms of budget management". (BHKK/Bams/DA/OR/RA)
