Guidance on Legislation on Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials to Stakeholders of Irradiator Users with Ionizing Radiation Generators
Kembali 11 Oktober 2024 | Berita BAPETENThe Directorate of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DP2FRZR), Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), held an online Guidance on Legislation in the Field of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials for stakeholders on October 10, 2024, and it was attended by 91 participants, especially for users of irradiators with ionizing radiation generators. This activity is part of the implementation of the Thematic Bureaucratic Reform for Poverty Alleviation at BAPETEN.
The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), BAPETEN, and other relevant parties will use this activity as a means of coordination, communication, and dissemination to make sure that each worker at the irradiator facility possesses the skills and qualifications required by the relevant laws and regulations. Because irradiated Indonesian products can increase in value, it is envisaged that the irradiator business would continue to grow and indirectly raise the economic standing of the Indonesian people.
The Director of DP2FRZR, Mukhlisin, officially opened the event, stating that the government is constantly working to streamline the bureaucratic process in addition to providing updates on licensing-related rules and laws. Through this activity, BAPETEN also hopes to gather feedback on the challenges and limitations business actors face when applying for licenses to operate irradiators in order to streamline licensing requirements.
