There are two exam types utilized in this competency certification for competent examiners: written exams and practical exams. On March 19–20, 2024, the practical exam was conducted at the Siloam Agora Cempaka Putih Hospital and the BAPETEN Building C Test Lab in Jakarta. On March 21, 2024, a written exam was administered at the BAPETEN Emergency Response Room located in the BAPETEN C Building in Jakarta.

The event was opened by the Director of DKKN, Zulkarnain, whose in his opening speech said, "The use of the Computer Assisted Test (CAT) system is a form of innovation from BAPETEN; in the development of industry 4.0, the use of this system requires regular evaluation and development in the future, and this is part of continuous improvement, which is the institution's goal towards service excellence."

The event carried on as BAPETEN Radiation Supervisor Alimuddin, acting as the process implementer, and BAPETEN Quality Assurance Function Group (KFJM) Coordinator Rini Suryanti read the regulations and examination procedures.

The opening event was attended by certification participants and all KFJM BAPETEN personnel appointed as examiners and supervisors, work units within BAPETEN such as the Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) and the Directorate of Licensing of Nuclear Installations and Materials (DPIBN) to learn about what can be applied during the exam regarding Radiation Protection Officers, and the Bureau of Planning, Information, and Finance (BPIK) as the work unit that makes the application is present to supervise its use.

In the written exam session, for the first time, the competency certification testing team used the CAT system to carry out the exam. The use of CAT in written exams provides benefits in the form of time savings, administrative efficiency, and participant comfort because it utilizes computer technology in presenting questions and processing results. There were seven participants in the Qualified Examiner competency certification exam from seven X-ray conformity and production testing institutions. The Qualified Examiner competency certification testing team consists of BAPETEN experts.

The Certification of Qualified Examiner Competency that was held at this time was the conformity test, with the scope of testing including general radiography, dental planes, and fluoroscopy. The implementation method used in this activity is offline or face-to-face.

In order to improve the quality assurance of conducting conformance tests on X-ray equipment, it is believed that this competency certification exam will help to identify qualified conformity test workers who are competent in conducting tests in accordance with the certified test's scope.
