This activity is a follow-up to the application for appointment of an Engraving Training Institute for Level 1 Medical PPR and Level 2 Medical PPR, which was submitted by the UGM Academic Hospital which was declared to have met the requirements for field verification. In accordance with the mandate of the Chairmanof Bapeten Regulation no. 1 of 2022 that assessments of Nuclear Energy Business Actors are carried out through document evaluation and field verification activities to ensure business licensing requirements are met.

The BAPETEN team that visited the UGM Academic Hospital was led by Rini Suryanti as Coordinator of the BAPETEN Quality Assurance Function Group as Chair of the Nuclear Energy Training Institute Verification Team, accompanied by Deddy Rusdiana, Edhy Kunto Wibowo and Eko Sapto Aji as team members. During the visit, the BAPETEN team was welcomed by the management of the UGM Academic Hospital consisting of the Director and management of the UGM Academic Hospital, representatives from the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Physics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UGM and several teaching staff from BRIN as well as representatives from Sardjito Hospital. The Director of Human Resources and Academics at the UGM Academic Hospital, Ika Purnamasari expressed positive aspirations and hopes for the arrival of the team from DKKN-Bapeten regarding the Nuclear Energy Training Institute Verification activities. The head of the verification team, Rini Suryanti, during the entry meeting, conveyed the purpose of verification, namely ensuring the availability of facilities and infrastructure, human resources, curriculum, modules and teaching materials as well as management system documents in accordance with the documents submitted in the application and in accordance with the requirements.

After the entry meeting, it continues with verification of the facilities that will be used later for training according to the request of the UGM Academic Hospital through Cooperation or MOU. There are 2 agencies that have been verified according to the MOU with the UGM Academic Hospital regarding the use of classroom facilities, laboratories, the use of ionizing radiation sources and radioactive substances as well as radiation measuring equipment, namely the Department of Nuclear Engineering and Physics Engineering UGM and the Department of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine at Sardjito Hospital. Verification was also carried out at the Radiology Department of RSA UGM and other supporting facilities such as prayer facilities, parking lots and libraries. After carrying out field verification at the above facilities, verification activities are continued by checking documents, especially re-confirming legality including the legality of cooperation in the use of facilities and infrastructure in the 2 related agencies, checking documents related to management systems, organizational structure, human resources, curriculum, syllabus, training modules and teaching materials.

At the end of the verification activity, the BAPETEN team submitted an inspection report containing findings that must be immediately followed up by the UGM Academic Hospital at the exit meeting. The event closed with the signing of the Minutes of Examination by the Nuclear Energy Training Institute Verification team and the Person in Charge of the candidate for the UGM Academic Hospital Training Institute.
