In order to harmonize the regulation of the nuclear and electricity sectors to encourage ease of business in the energy sector, FGD on Electricity After The Issuance Of The Omnibus Law on 10 August 2021.
The event was opened by the Director of Regulation of Nuclear Installation and Materials of BAPETEN Haendra Subekti. In his opening remarks convey, "The purpose of this activity is to get an overview of the implementation of electricity regulation after the Omnibus Law, learn about its operational aspects, and share experiences from the Director General of Electricity of ESDM on licensing aspects”.
The speech was continued by the Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment of BAPETEN Dahlia C. Sinaga, who said, “This FGD was held to discuss arrangements between the electricity sector and the nuclear sector, which must be coordinated intensively, especially for nuclear power plants (PLTN). For this reason, business people do not feel that there is an overlap that has an impact on their business activities. With the OSS system, the licensing process is more transparent, so the government must build real synergy between sectors.”
The event was followed by a presentation on "Electricity Regulations After the Omnibus Law in the Aspects of Integrated OSS Operations, Supervision, and Licensing" by the Director of Electricity Business Development of the Directorate General of ESDM Ida Nuryatin Finahari. In her presentation, there were 2 important things, namely policies in the electricity sub-sector and the business of providing electricity.
The event, which was attended by 31 participants from technical and legal units at BAPETEN, is expected to give a lot of information, benefits, and hopefully meetings like this can be held regularly to strengthen coordination between sectors. [DP2IBN/Manda/BHKK/SP/IP/RA]
