The coordination meeting was chaired by Deputy Chairman for Licensing and Inspection of BAPETEN Zainal Arifin. This meeting attended by the Executive Secretary Sugeng Sumbarjo, Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment Dahlia C. Sinaga, and several BAPETEN officials, namely the Director of Licensing and Director of Inspection, both from nuclear installation and materials (NIM) as well as radiation facilities and radioactive materials (RFRM); Head of Bureau of Legal Affairs, Cooperation and Public Communication; Director of Regulations for NIM and RFRM; Director of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness; as well as their coordinators and staff.

Meanwhile, from the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, the Deputy Chairman for Investment Climate Development Yuliot, Deputy Chairman for Investment Cooperation Riyanto, Director of Region II, as well as the related coordinator and staff, were present.

This meeting revealed several obstacles in the implementation of PP No. 5/2021 and the interconnection of BALIS system with the OSS system, namely: 1) currently, the BALIS–OSS system is not fully integrated, 2) licensing procedures are still going through BAPETEN, 3) administrative requirements can use the Business Identification Number (NIB), 4) the issuance of the Business Licensing (OSS) issued by the Ministry of Investment/BKPM and the State Administrative Decree (KTUN) of BAPETEN used as an attachment for the Business Licensing (OSS).

BAPETEN, together with the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, will continue to coordinate so that the implementation of PP No. 5/2021 and the interconnection of BALIS system with the OSS system can run well, as well as conducting trials related to the interconnection of the BALIS–OSS system.
