"The challenge of the assessment is to make some kind of algorithm and impossible steps possible, such as illicit trafficking studies, forensic laboratories, analytic data, and the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in all processes in BAPETEN" he said. “The study can compile data problems that will be solved by working with agencies or LPNK to support our surveillance system" he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment (PKN) Dahlia Cakrawati Sinaga in her direction conveyed "the role of assessment that supports the supervisory task has not been seen in Law No.10 of 1997 but in the amendment of the Law has been formulated the role of assessment. The Assessment Unit as an internal Technical Support Organization (TSO) has a very important role in supporting the main task of supervision. The reviewed products support the development of arrangements, licensing and inspections"

"For the arrangement, the study provides technical support data for the preparation of regulations. For licensing, this is on demand, so it should be seen during this time of year the trend profile of the licensing request to the study, shows an increase or decrease. For inspections we also see the request for support to the review already exists or not, if not if we need to be proactive. This ends up increasing the role of the study” she said.

Dahlia said to conduct surveillance research that is independent of supervisory duties for aspects of safety, security and safeguard. Studies also need to be supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure such as human resources, software / hardware, laboratories, and equipment. And lastly, Dahlia emphasized the need for internal and external coordination to realize the objectives of the study and the objectives of supervision.
