BNPB Benchmarking to BAPETEN Archives Unit

The Bureau of Organisation and General Services (BOU) of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) received a working visit from the Administration and Archives Section of the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) on Thursday, November 21, 2024. This visit was in the context of benchmarking the implementation of BAPETEN's archives, which successfully achieved a very satisfactory archival supervision score.

During this visit, the BNPB team was received directly by the Head of BOU Dedik Eko Sumargo, who expressed his gratitude to BNPB for this visit. He said that this year, BAPETEN successfully obtained a Very Satisfactory predicate in archival supervision and achieved 4th place at the Non-Ministerial Government Institution (LPNK) level.

"Achieving the best work is not the end of an achievement, because the best and perfection require an integration process to become better and better," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Protocol and Administration Section, Kuspriyanto, also expressed his gratitude for this return visit, where in 2023 the BAPETEN Archives Unit had visited the BNPB Archives Unit in order to increase insight regarding the implementation of archives and become a motivation for improving the performance of the implementation of archives at BAPETEN.

The Head of the Administration and Archives Section of BNPB, Rizky Khusyassin, said that the purpose of visiting BAPETEN was to foster friendship in order to maintain good relations between BNPB and BAPETEN. In addition, he also said that he wanted to increase knowledge about the implementation of archives so that BNPB would achieve better achievements in the coming year. It was stated that in addition to BAPETEN, BNPB also conducted benchmarking to several Ministries/Institutions that achieved the title of Very Satisfactory archival supervision.

Furthermore, a presentation was delivered on "Efforts to Save State Archives in the BAPETEN Environment" by the Head of the Administration Sub-Section—Deputy for Nuclear Safety Assessment, Rinasari. It was conveyed that there were several efforts in order to save state archives carried out by BAPETEN, namely:

1. Drafting BAPETEN regulations related to archiving.

2. Creation and filing of archives in the SUPERSONIK application and the SRIKANDI application.

3. Transfer of inactive archives from the work unit to the archives unit (records centre).

4. Arrangement and Storage of archives in the records center using the QR code system innovation, making it easier to find archives when they will be used.

5. Destruction of archives that are of no value.

6. Submission of static archives, protected archives, and Covid-19 thematic archives to ANRI.

7. Use of the SRIKANDI application in external correspondence and filing of archives.

8. Become a member of the National Archives Information Network Node (JIKN) to provide archive information usage services for the government & community.

9. Carrying out internal (BAPETEN) & external (ANRI) archives supervision routinely.

After the Entry Meeting, it was continued with a visit to the records centre facility located in BAPETEN Building C to review and share sessions related to the management of BAPETEN's inactive archives.
