BAPETEN's Participation In The "Senior Safety and Security Regulators Meeting"

As a series from the 65th Annual General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (GC-IAEA) held a Side Event Senior Safety and Security Regulators Meeting which aims to provide a forum for regulatory agency to be able and exchange information related to current surveillance issues (Thursday, 23/09).

This activity was opened by Rafael Mariano Grossi as Director Genaral (DG) IAEA, and Rumina Velshi as Chair, Head of the Supervisory Agency of Canada. Rafael raised the issue of gender equality in the nuclear field, including in surveillance activities. Rafael expects women's involvement in the nuclear field including increased surveillance.

BAPETEN delegation consisting of Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment, Executive Secretary, and several other participants.

Speakers from several member states provided exposure to their information and experience in nuclear surveillance activities. On this occasion, the IAEA conveyed exposure related to IAEA activity in terms of countering nuclear emergencies, including RANET (IAEA Response and Assistance Network). [BHKK/AQ/OR/RA]
