The 2024 Public Information Transparency Award is the result of monitoring and evaluation carried out by the Central Information Commission as an endeavor to advance public information transparency in all public agencies. The event was opened directly by the chairman of the KIP, Donny Yoesgiantoro, and was attended by representatives of various agencies from all over Indonesia. Donny Yoesgiantoro said there was an increase in the number of public agencies that qualified as the best "informative." In 2023, there were 139 Informative Public Agencies, increasing in 2024 to 162 Informative Public Agencies.

"There has been some progress made in the openness of public information in 2024. This year, we are monitoring and evaluating all public agencies, totalling 323, divided into seven categories," said Donny Yoesguantoro.

The award presentation was attended by Haendra Subekti, Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety and Assessment (PKN). BAPETEN for the first time entered the Informative Public Agency category in the KIP Monitoring and Evaluation. This award is an appreciation to all public agencies, including state universities, BUMN, provincial governments, state institutions and non-ministerial government institutions, structural institutions, ministries, and political parties for the openness of information carried out.
