BAPETEN Prepares for the 17th Meeting of the Nuclear Security Guidance Committee (NSGC)
Kembali 04 Juni 2020 | Berita BAPETENThe Nuclear Security Guidance Committee (NSGC) of IAEA held activities to face the 17th NSGC Meeting in June 2020 virtually in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The NSGC itself is an IAEA Agency / Committee that handles the preparation of publications in the field of nuclear security consisting of representatives from member countries which Indonesia is one of them. The expected outcome of the 17th Meeting is to gather input from Member States in revising or updating fundamental Nuclear Security Series documents (NSS-20) and recommendations (NSS-13, NSS-14, NSS-15).
To deal with the annual meeting, the Director of the Regulation of Supervision of Nuclear Installation and Material Control of BAPETEN Dahlia Sinaga, as the NSGC program's point of contact in Indonesia is coordinating various entries from BAPETEN's departments for publication of fundamental Nuclear Security Series (NSS-20) and recommendations (NSS-13, NSS-14 , NSS-15). A series of online meetings from May to mid-June were held by presenting all technical units and the Bureau of Law, Cooperation and Public Communication. Some essential, substantial and editorial input was prepared to be submitted to the Secretariat of NSGC in mid-June. [Rommy / DP2IBN] / Sp / BHKK].
