Visit of the Drafting Team of BAPETEN Regulation Revised BAPETEN Regulation Number 3 of 2021 to Dr. Soehadi Prijonego Hospital
Kembali 29 Agustus 2024 | Berita BAPETENThe Directorate of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DP2FRZR) of BAPETEN held a visit and discussion activity related to the Draft BAPETEN Regulation Revised BAPETEN Regulation No. 3 of 2021 on Business Activity Standards and Product Standards in the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing in the Nuclear Energy Sector at Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Sragen, Central Java (29/08/2024). This activity is a series of public consultation activities for the Draft BAPETEN Regulation Revised BAPETEN Regulation No. 3 of 2021 concerning business activity standards and product standards in the implementation of risk-based business licensing in the nuclear energy sector in the city of Surakarta, which was held the day before.
“The visit was conducted with the aim of obtaining an overview of the implementation or obstacles in the field faced by users, especially in hospitals. The input obtained will be used to improve the regulations that are being revised so that the regulations are simple, applicable, and guarantee safety for workers, patients, and the community. We also want to know the progress of equipment in the medical field so that the formulation of requirements is appropriate, not under- or over-regulated,” added Aris in his remarks.
The event continued with the delivery of directions by the Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment of BAPETEN, Haendra Subekti. Haendra said that currently Government Regulation No. 5 of 2021 is in the process of revision; therefore, the implementing regulations need to be adjusted.
“In the revision, simplification is carried out but does not ignore the safety aspect. BAPETEN is very open to providing guidance in order to resolve obstacles with improved regulations or improve infrastructure. This opportunity should be used as well as possible to explore information, and to the representatives of Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital, please be able to convey the implementation and obstacles faced so far,” he added.
Presentation on the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Utilization Licensing System (OSS RBA Integrated Balis Online 2.0) by the Director of DP2FRZR Mukhlisin. In his presentation, Mukhlisin explained the duties and functions of the Nuclear Energy Supervisory Agency, nuclear energy regulations, the licensing status of Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital, and the licensing system for the utilization of diagnostic and interventional radiology (license requirements, issuance of permits, validity period, costs, and licensing process).
Continued with a presentation on the condition of radiology facilities and implementation of the licensing system at Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital delivered by Haris Almacca. Haris explained the profile of Sragen Regency, the profile of Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital, human resources and installations owned by Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital, as well as regulations that are used as references in the use of ionizing radiation source equipment. The presentation was continued by Arifin Musthafa as the Radiation Protection Officer, who conveyed the OSS licensing process—Balis Perizinan 2.5, the implementation of the licensing system, and the condition of the radiology installation facilities at Dr. Soehadi Prijonegoro Hospital.
The discussions were held related to the topic of unused equipment permit documents, payment of permit fees, licensing systems, procurement of X-ray machines, use of ionizing radiation source equipment, and human resources and personnel competence. The activity was continued with a visit to the facility.
