Technical Guidance and Services to Accelerate Licensing for Utilization of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Facilities in Yogyakarta Special Region Province
Kembali 18 November 2024 | Berita BAPETENBAPETEN through the Directorate of Licensing for Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) carried out Technical Guidance and Services to Accelerate Licensing for Utilization of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Facilities in Yogyakarta City, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) Province on November 18-19, 2024. The activity, which was held at Aula Wijaya Kusuma, Office of Agriculture and Food Security of Yogyakarta Province, aimed to provide technical guidance and direct consultation services to license applicants related to the fulfillment of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Licensing Requirements that have been integrated through Online Single Submission (OSS) with Balis 2.5.
The implementation of Consultation and Licensing Services is carried out by inviting as many as 50 different agencies each day for hospitals, health centers, and clinics whose licenses have expired in the DIY Province, Central Java Province, parts of East Java Province and Bali, as well as additional participants from hospitals and clinics from other provinces. This Technical Guidance and Licensing Acceleration Service was attended by participants according to invitations and additional participants from other agencies that are in the licensing process.
The event began with the opening of the Head of the DIY Provincial Health Office represented by Dr. Fitri Indah Setiyawati, M.Sc as Head of the Quality and Accreditation Section of Primary Health Care Facilities, Referral and Other Health Facilities, saying “Thank you for the Guidance and Licensing Service Facility by BAPETEN in Yogyakarta Province and hope that the event can be utilized as well as possible by participants, so that licensing can be completed and there are no more X-ray Planes in health facilities that do not have a license from BAPETEN, because licensing is very important for agencies that use ionizing radiation sources.” Constraints related to radiology licensing should be asked to the BAPETEN team, so that the use of radiology equipment can be utilized optimally by meeting safety according to existing regulations and legislation. Followed by the Deputy for Licensing and Inspection, Zainal Arifin in his remarks said “With this event, it can have an impact on health and safety in the use of radiation, he stated regarding the importance of licensing and currently licensing is carried out online through OSS and Balis 2.5, this service activity is expected to be utilized by health facilities in DI Yogyakarta Province to consult regarding licensing so that all licenses can be completed.”. Zainal also stated that nuclear utilization is carried out for peaceful purposes, especially ahead of the implementation of the 2024 regional elections.”
The event continued with a presentation by the Director of Licensing FRZR BAPETEN, Isaac delivered a presentation “Licensing System for Utilization of Ionizing Radiation Sources in the Health Sector (Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology)”, then continued with licensing and consultation service sessions directly at noon each day.
On the second day, the Consultation and Licensing Services for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Facilities began with the presentation of the material “Business Licensing Mechanism for the Nuclear Sector” by Maradi Abdillah and continued with the material “Criteria for Acceptance of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology License Requirements” by Herry Irawan. At the end of the presentation, discussions and questions and answers were held by participants regarding the licensing requirements materials that had been submitted.
The enthusiastic attendance of the participants was utilized by consulting directly with the BAPETEN health facility licensing evaluator on the obstacles to the licensing process for the utilization of nuclear power in the health sector and the one-day permit service can be carried out if the requirements are met.(DPFRZR/Dwiangesti/BHKK/CD) (Translate ; CD)
