Commission VII of the DPR held a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Non-Ministerial Government Agencies (LPNK) under the coordination of the National Technology and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Wednesday (09/06). This meeting discussed the realization of the organizational structure and function of BRIN in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 33 of 2021, the progress of the implementation from 2021, the establishment of RKA-K/L and RKP-K/L TA. 2022. RDP was also attended by the Chairman of BAPETEN, BATAN, BIG, BPPT, LAPAN, LIPI.

The meeting began with the presentation from Chairman of BRIN Laksana Tri Handoko related to "BRIN’s Direction and BRIN’s Target". He said BRIN was asked to consolidate science and technology resources, both human resources, research infrastructure, and budget, create an open (inclusive) and collaborative global standard research ecosystem, create a strong and sustainable research-based economic foundation.

Chairman of BAPETEN Jazi Eko Istiyanto attended and presented the realization of BAPETEN’s budget in 2021. Jazi explained, the realization of the budget at BAPETEN is realized in activities that do not change much from every years.

"What is done is issuing nuclear energy utilization permits, conducting inspections to ensure that permit holders comply with electricity rules, and make electricity regulations / policies,"added.

On this occasion, Jazi also conveyed that BAPETEN has inaugurated a Diagnostic Reference Level (DRL) aimed at protecting and avoiding patients from over exposure to hospital equipment that emits nuclear radiation.
