The inspection team was led by the Director of DPFRZR, Ishak, with team members Ahmad Maulana, Dwi Angestiningsih, and Naufal Alif Syarifuddin, who conducted verification at the Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik Regency, regarding the Radiotherapy Facility Operating Permit for the Linac machine modality, Varian brand, Vital Beam type.

While the verification at the RSUD Dr. Achmad Mochtar, Bukittinggi, the inspection team led by the Health Facility Licensing Function Group (DPFRZR) Activity Manager Iin Indartati with members Made Pramayuni, Maradi Abdillah, Yaya Umaya, Sulistiyoningsih, and Dewi Lelyana Maharani conducted verification for the Radiotherapy Facility with the modalities, namely the Linac machine, Varian brand, Vital Beam type, and the Brachytherapy machine, Bebig Saginova brand, HDR type Afterloading System with a Co-60 source.

The scope of the onsite inspection includes document and technical inspection of the suitability of the design of the built facility and the adequacy of the thickness of the radiation barrier in the radiotherapy bunker, ensuring the performance of the main equipment and supporting equipment, conducting radiation exposure measurements and dosimetry tests, ensuring patient flow and personnel capabilities in operating Brachytherapy and Linac machines according to standards, inspecting protection equipment and radioactive source security, and the performance of the radioactive source security system.

From the results of the radiotherapy operating permit verification, the hospital is committed to completing the findings submitted by the BAPETEN team within a certain time limit. The smooth running of the verification activities is supported by the hospital, which follows and welcomes the course of the activities until the end; any deficiencies are considered as input and technical suggestions for fulfilling radiation safety according to applicable regulations and standards.

In his remarks at the entry meeting, the Director of the Ibnu Sina Hospital, Gresik Regency, Dr. Soni, M.Kes, said, "We hope that the activities can run smoothly and there are not many obstacles and findings in their implementation, our commitment to the instructions and suggestions from BAPETEN. And radiotherapy services will be utilized immediately because construction has been completed since December 2023, where we have processed step by step until today; verification has not had any significant obstacles, and the licensing process can proceed.”

Preparation for the operation of the Radiation Oncology building at RSUD Dr. Achmad Mochtar, Bukittinggi through verification of the radiotherapy operating permit by BAPETEN is expected to be issued soon, where Dr. Achmad Mochtar Regional General Hospital as a destination for health services in the Central Sumatra region can immediately provide radiotherapy services for cancer patients.
