Public Consultation of the Draft of BAPETEN Regulation on the Conformity Assessment Scheme for General Radiography X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and CT-Scan Equipment
Kembali 01 November 2024 | Berita BAPETENThe Directorate of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DP2FRZR) of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN) held a Public Consultation of the Draft Regulation of the Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency on the Conformity Assessment Scheme for General Radiography X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and CT-Scan Equipment at the BAPETEN office on November 1, 2024. This activity aims to accommodate the aspirations of stakeholders in the process of formulating regulations for the supervision of the use of nuclear energy. This event was attended by 70 participants offline and 20 participants online.
Haendra Subekti, BAPETEN's Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment, opened the event by emphasizing the value of collaboration between stakeholders and BAPETEN as a regulator. "Let's work together to produce regulatory products that are beneficial to the community in particular," he stated.
In his remarks, DP2FRZR Director Mukhlisin emphasized the value of public feedback during the BAPETEN regulation-drafting process. "To guarantee transparency, legitimacy, efficacy, and compliance, public consultation is required," he stated.
The event continued with a presentation on the implementation of the application of the Medical Device Scheme as part of the Indonesian Government's Obligations in the Transposition of the ASEAN Medical Devices Directive (AMDD) by National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN) Junior Expert Standardization Analyst Muh. Ari Bahtiar Al Machi, Medical Device Supervision Policy on Domestic Diagnostic and Interventional X-Ray Products by the Head of the Ministry of Health's Standardization and Testing Working Team Melly Juwitasari, and the preparation of the Draft Regulation on the Conformity Assessment Scheme for General Radiography X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, and CT-Scan by BAPETEN Middle Radiation Supervisor Anet Hayani.
It is intended that this activity can provide input to BAPETEN to ensure that the resulting policy is relevant, comprehensive, and acceptable to all parties involved. [BHKK/AAP/GP/Translator: GP]
