Public Consultation, Drafting the BAPETEN’s Regulation on The Determination Standards of Business Activities and Products in the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing of the Nuclear Sector

Tuesday (23/3) Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN) in collaboration with Directorate of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources Regulation (DP2FRZR) held a Public Consultation on the Determination of Standards of Business Activities and Products in the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing of the Nuclear Sector is a follow-up to the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) No. 5 year 2021 on the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing. As the implementing regulation of the Government Regulation, the Drafting is targeted to be completed on 2 April 2021.

This event is part of the processes for drafting Bapeten’s Regulations (Raperba) on Norms, Standards, Procedures and Criteria (NSPK) of the nuclear energy sector. It is expected to obtain input from stakeholders. As an opening, the Directorate of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Sources Regulation (DP2FRZR), Djoko Hari Nugroho stated "that with the issuance of the Omnibus Law, then as the implementing regulation has been issued also PP No.5 Year 2021" and continued by the Director of DKKN Zulkarnain who said that the participation in giving input by the relevant parties in this case is very important business actors so that this regulation can be applied.

The event continued with the presentation by the Coordinator of Quality Assurance Function, Rini Suryanti with the material of Setting Standards for Business Activities and Products on the Implementation of Risk-Based Licensing of The Nuclear Energy Sector (Subsector of Nuclear Energy Support). Act as moderator is the coordinator of the Function Officer of Radiation Protection and Environmental Safety Regulation Aris Sanyoto, devoted to businesses in the field of Nuclear Testing Laboratory, Dosimetry Laboratory, and Training Institute Nuclear illiquidity.

At the end Rini stated "There are not many changes to the licensing requirements of the Nuclear Energy Test Laboratory, Dosimetry Laboratory and Nuclear Energy Training Institute. Only mechanisms and procedures and emphasis on the requirements of meeting standard certificates are a little differentiator, as well as integrated with Online Single Submission (OSS)" and the discussion ended the entire series of activities attended by 55 participants from representatives of nuclear testing laboratories and 11 Nuclear Training Institutes conducted online.[DKKN/ Deddy/BHKK/IS/OR/RA]
