PKSR Competency Certification, To Ensure Competent Officers

BAPETEN’s Directorate of Licensing of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR) provides Radioactive Source Security Officer Competency Certificate (PKSR) service certification through testing. PKSR must be owned by someone who is assigned to guard/overcome unauthorized access, destruction, loss, theft and/or unauthorized transfer of radioactive sources that can endanger workers, the public and the environment in every facility that utilizes radioactive sources.
This exam will be held on 15 – 16 August 2022, chaired by the Coordinator of the Licensing Function Group for Radiation Facility Officers Ida Bagus Manuaba. The number of participants who took the PKSR competency certification exam were 23 people, consisting of various agencies both in the medical and industrial fields. This certification exam is conducted in three methods, namely a written exam, a practical exam, and an oral exam. The written exam and oral exam are carried out individually, while the practical exam is divided into 6 groups and then given case examples. Examples of cases given are the transportation of radioactive substances and the storage of radioactive substances.
The testing team in this exam were 2 supervisors Ardiyani Eka Patriasai and Fajar Waskito, and 4 examiners Ida Bagus Manuaba, Adi Dradjat Noerwasana, Darsino, and Syaifulloh. The final product resulting from the implementation of this certification exam is a PKSR Competency Certificate for participants who pass. [dpfrzr/Fajar Waskito/BHKK/OR/Da/RA)
