Mapping and Sterilization of the Official Residence and the Palace of the Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia
KembaliOne of the tasks of the BAPETEN function is to ensure that the use of nuclear power must ensure the safety and security of workers, society and the environment. One potential threat that may occur at this time is the threat of terrorism by using radioactive material on national vital objects, including among the Official Residence and the Palace of the Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia.
Related to this, BAPETEN through the Directorate for Technical Support and Emergency Preparedness (DKKN) conducted data mapping and sterilization of environmental radioactivity at the Official Residence and the Palace of the Vice-President of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta on Monday (02/25/2019) morning. This activity is a follow-up to the BAPETEN Memorandum of Understanding with the Secretary of State Office-RI.
Baseline mapping of environmental radioactivity data is very important because it is a reference data to monitor whether there is a significant increase in radioactivity around the national vital object. This radioactivity mapping activity involved the staff of Sub-Directorate for Technical Support Nurman Rahmadi, M. Firdaus Sollachudin, and M. Ikhsan, who was accompanied by the Presidential Military Secretariat personnel, Wintoko and Paspamwapres Jakarta, by Solehudin, Iskandar Z. and Brebrillian. This mapping of radioactivity is carried out inside and outside the both fence of the complex.[bhkkp / tds]
