Field Verification of the Appointment of PT Greenova Daya Prima Dosimetry Laboratory
Kembali 20 Mei 2024 | Berita BAPETENThe Directorate of Technical Support and Nuclear Emergency Preparedness (DKKN) BAPETEN carried out field verification in the context of appointing a Dosimetry Laboratory for the sub-scope of External Dose Monitoring Equipment Evaluation at PT Greenova Daya Prima, Monday, May 20, 2024. This verification was carried out after the evaluation results in the BAPETEN Licensing dan Inspection System Online (BALIS Online) application submitted by PT Greenova Daya Prima were declared eligible to be upgraded with a field verification process.
This activity was led by Rini Suryanti with members Suryo Adi Ari Santosa, Irma Septi Ardiani, and Nurlaela Ramdhani. The involvement of personnel from the Directorate of Inspection of Nuclear Installation and Materials (DI2BN) Dose and Environmental Evaluation Functional Group (KFEDL) is a form of good collaboration between DKKN and other related work units.
PT Greenova Daya Prima is a start-up from the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) that has the opportunity to participate in the 2022 and 2023 BRIN Research-Based Startup Funding Program (PPBR). This company is the only BRIN start-up that focuses on the nuclear energy sector, in this case wanting to contribute to external dose evaluation services with the Optically Stimulated Luminescence (OSL) badge type. The types of OSL that will be served are InLight XA for photons and beta, InLight LA for photons, beta, and neutrons, and InLight EX for the environment.
Verification is emphasized on the external dosimetry service process and quality control of the OSL reader system. PT Greenova Daya Prima, as a candidate for the new dosimetry laboratory, was also given a lot of input related to technical reporting.
At the end of the activity, the verification minutes were also submitted, which will be continued with the preparation of the verification results report for follow-up by PT Greenova Daya Prima. It is expected that the addition of this dosimetry laboratory can add options for users of ionizing radiation sources in finding a laboratory that can evaluate their personnel radiation monitoring dosimeters.
