The winner of the BKN Award 2021 was announced in the evaluation forum for the management of staffing management in Indonesia through the 2021 Staffing National Coordination Meeting (Rakornas) which held hybrid (Thursday 01/07). The winning agencies of the BKN Award 2021 are determined based on each category of agencies, namely Central Agencies covering ministries and state institutions / non-ministerial government institutions (LPNK), and Regional Agencies include the Provincial Government, District Government, and City Government as implementers of ASN management based on excellence in each assessment category.

In the BKN Award 2021, BAPETEN received 3 (three) awards within the scope of Non-Ministerial Government Institutions, namely:

• 1st in the Competency Assessment category
• 3rd in the Performance Assessment Implementation category
• 3rd in the Category of Commitment to Supervision and Control

The event with theme "Transformation of ASN Management Towards Dynamic Bureaucracy", the Chairman of BKN stated "it takes ASN who has the ability to think forward and anticipatory (think ahead), reflective thinking by reviewing the results of thinking (think again), and thinking laterally, horizontally and cross-disciplinary (think across), to realize dynamic governance".

At thisactivities, BKN launched the National Staffing Information System (SIMPEGNAS) officially in order to support the realization from the target of one ASN data in accordance with Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 39 of 2019 on One Indonesian Data and Presidential Decree No. 95 of 2018 on Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE).
