BAPETEN Discusses Developments in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology with the Kolegium Radiologi Indonesia
Kembali 11 Februari 2026 | Berita BAPETEN | 2 lihatThe Nuclear Energy Regulatory Agency (BAPETEN), through the Directorate of Licensing for Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DPFRZR), held a coordination meeting with the Kolegium Radiologi Indonesia to discuss developments in diagnostic and interventional radiology. The meeting took place at the BAPETEN Office on Wednesday, 11 February 2026.
The meeting was attended by the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, Zainal Arifin; Deputy Chairman for Nuclear Safety Assessment, Haendra Subekti; Director of DPFRZR, Asep Saefulloh Hermawan; Director of Inspection for Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials (DIFRZR), Zulkarnain, along with staff members; as well as the Chairperson of the Indonesian College of Radiology, Rosy Setiawati, and her delegation.
The coordination meeting was opened with remarks by the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, who emphasized that the development of programs and technologies in the field of radiology must be supported by the readiness of human resources, robust systems, and adequate safety oversight. The meeting then continued with a presentation by the Director of DPFRZR, Asep Saefulloh Hermawan, who stated that the tuberculosis (TB) screening program utilizing X-ray equipment has been implemented smoothly and has encountered no licensing issues, as permit applications are submitted through regional public hospitals (RSUD).
The event continued with a discussion session on the readiness for the implementation of the Mobile X-ray program, particularly regarding safety aspects, human resources, and licensing. The meeting was then concluded with a reaffirmation of BAPETEN’s support for government programs aimed at the early detection of tuberculosis (TB) through the utilization of mobile X-ray units, while consistently prioritizing radiation safety.
