The workshop, which was scheduled to last for four days, was attended by 49 participants, consisting of several stakeholders, such as business actors, research centres, universities, other related stakeholders, and BAPETEN internal employees.

The activity began with the delivery of a report by the Head of the Education and Training Division, Ahmad Ciptadi Syuryavin, who stated that this workshop was the fifth international activity this year. A welcome to Indonesia was also conveyed to the two IAEA experts, namely Alessandro Facure Neves de Salles Soares and Samira Marques de Carvalho from the Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN), or the Brazilian National Nuclear Energy Commission, as speakers.

Sugeng Sumbarjo, the Acting Chairman of BAPETEN, also opened the workshop. Through his speech, Sugeng expressed his appreciation to the two speakers. Furthermore, Sugeng said the importance of implementing a workshop related to the management, supervision, regulation, and inspection of cyclotron facilities. "In this workshop, we can get a lot of discussion and experience from experts on the management of cyclotron facilities, especially related to obstacles and challenges that occur in Indonesia and best practices in Brazil," he concluded.

The Acting Chairman of BAPETEN also hopes that by holding this workshop, there can be an exchange of knowledge and information, especially with IAEA experts and officials and regulators from Brazil, considering that the discussion of the material for this week contains practical discussions on cyclotron facilities.
