BAPETEN and BRIN Hold Meeting to Discuss the Master Plan for the Development of Nuclear Competency Standards (SKKNI)
Kembali 07 April 2026 | Berita BAPETEN | 21 lihatBAPETEN held a meeting with the Directorate for Functional Position Development and Professional Development of BRIN on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at the Meeting Room of the B.J. Habibie Building, BRIN. This activity was a follow-up to the preparation of the Draft BAPETEN Regulation on the Master Plan for the Development of Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) in the Nuclear Sector.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Functional Position Development and Professional Development of BRIN, Julwan Hendry Purba, and the Director of Regulation of Radiation Facilities and Radioactive Materials of BAPETEN, Mukhlisin, along with their respective teams.
In his remarks, Julwan stated that the coordination between BRIN and BAPETEN in the preparation of the SKKNI has resulted in the establishment of the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) under the category of Professional, Scientific, and Technical Activities, within the main classification of Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Activities in the Nuclear Sector, specifically in the subfield of Radioisotope and Radiopharmaceutical Production. He further added that BRIN, together with the BAPETEN team, is currently drafting the SKKNI on Radiation Safety and the Security of Radioactive Substances, which is targeted for completion in 2026.
Meanwhile, Mukhlisin emphasized that BAPETEN is currently preparing the Master Plan for the Development (RIP) of SKKNI in the nuclear sector, covering various lines of business that require their workforce to obtain licenses from BAPETEN. The document will be enacted in the form of a BAPETEN Regulation and will serve as a reference for the future development of SKKNI.
“Coordination with BRIN and relevant ministries/agencies is essential to prevent overlap in the development of the SKKNI,” he stated.
During the discussion session, both parties deliberated on several priority business sectors to be included in the roadmap for the development of SKKNI in the nuclear sector. The agreements reached in this meeting will serve as the basis for refining the SKKNI Master Plan, which is targeted to be established in 2026. [DP2FRZR/IMadeArdana/BHKK/Da]
